I have been a Governor at Green Lane since 2012 and am currently a Foundation Governor. I have lived in Barnard Castle since 2007 and both my daughters attended the school.
As a qualified actuary I particularly enjoy looking at finance and data, and I love to read. I volunteer in school twice a week, listening to children read and helping them develop their skills and hopefully also a love of reading.
I sit on the Christian Ethos Committee and am also part of the team who deliver “Big Story”, enabling the children to hear Bible stories, to wonder, to share and to listen to each other.
As the safeguarding governor I meet with the Headteacher each term and also carry out the annual review of the school’s safeguarding procedures and practices.
I am also on the Finance, Premises, Personnel and High Force Committee, the First Pay Review Committee and the Headteacher’s Performance Committee.
