Governor – Jane Lawson Goldberg

I became a Foundation Governor at Green Lane School early in 2022, having previously been a Foundation Governor in our village primary school where we lived before moving to Barnard Castle. I sit on the Curriculum and Performance and Christian Ethos Committees.

Following a career in research and then civil engineering, I became a Maths Teacher after taking a career break while our children were small. I trained to be a teacher through the Graduate Training Programme at Teesdale School, most recently I taught A Level Maths and Further Maths at Queen Elizabeth 6th Form College in Darlington.

I very much enjoyed being part of the music group for the Richard III musical and am looking forward to more opportunities to work with Green Lane School.
